Amer Shurrab

Amer Shurrab is a long-time peace activist from Khan Younis in Gaza. He left Gaza before the blockade was imposed in 2006, and was able to study at Middlebury College in Vermont and currently works at the Middle East Institute in Washington DC.

In 2009-10 Amer spoke across the United States about the devastation that struck his family during the Israeli siege of Gaza in January 2009, calling for justice for them and all the victims of the Israeli assault on Gaza in the Winter of 2009.
